Our Care Process
Joining Little Bird provides simple, intentional access to trusted care when you need it.

3. Submit a care request with your desired date and time
4. Review available sitters and select the caregiver that feels right for your family
Once your request is shared, it’s reviewed and offered to available caregivers who match your needs. When a caregiver accepts, you’ll receive a confirmation with next steps and care details to help you prepare.

Care is booked with a three-hour minimum to ensure caregivers can reserve dedicated time for your family.

Plans are billed month to month, offering flexibility without long-term commitments.

There are no contracts — you can adjust or cancel your plan as your needs change.​
Billing follows a 30-day cycle beginning on the day you join Little Bird.
Caregiver Rates
A Note on Care at Little Bird
At Little Bird, we believe great care starts with respect — for families, caregivers, and the time they share together. Our pricing guidelines are designed to be clear, fair, and supportive, helping everyone feel comfortable and aligned before care begins.
How Payment Works
Families compensate caregivers directly at the conclusion of care, using a mutually agreed-upon payment method.

The rates below represent our minimum hourly care guidelines. Families may choose to offer a higher rate based on experience, satisfaction, or the specific needs of their household.

Hourly Care Guidelines

1–2 children: $20/hour

3–4 children: $22/hour

5+ children: $25/hour
Care expectations are limited to child-focused responsibilities during a scheduled care..
Travel Fee
$15 — For care requests located more than 30 minutes outside the Atlanta metro area, an additional travel fee is paid directly to the caregiver.

Rush Fee
$50 — Rush requests submitted within a shortened booking window may incur an additional fee if care is successfully confirmed.

Mileage Reimbursement
$0.72 per mile — Any mileage or transportation-related reimbursement is coordinated directly between the family and caregiver, when applicable.
Sick Child Fee
$50 — Paid directly to the caregiver.
​
Overnight Care
$150 Overnight care includes a flat overnight rate during designated sleep hours.
Active care outside of sleep hours is billed at the applicable hourly rate.
Babysitting Access for Non‑Member Families

Little Bird offers flexible, pay‑as‑you‑go access to our trusted caregiver pool for families who need occasional care.
How It Works
​Non‑member families can request a babysitter by paying a $25 access fee per request. This fee gives you one‑time access to Little Bird’s carefully vetted babysitting network.

Each request is reviewed by our team to ensure a thoughtful, reliable match based on your family’s needs.
